Concierge Physical Therapy services provided at my location, or yours. Being a Concierge Therapist means that I can work around your needs. Want a treatment in your own home or office? Want a skilled movement assessment on the golf course? At your gym? We can work together to meet your goals.
Everyone gets one. This will be at your first session and will guide your plan of care. If we are working together for one impairment and you come back with another (a different body part) then we may need to evaluate the new area of concern as well. Do not worry, in my practice, I do not charge more for evaluation than treatment.
Soft Tissue Mobilization, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, manual stretching.
Trigger Point Dry Needling
Fascia is connective tissue lining all of our organs and muscles. It attaches, stabilizes, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs. Fascial restrictions can greatly impair muscle and nerve functions. Fascial restrictions can be caused by trauma, repetitive motion, surgery, poor posture, etc. Myofascial release can be performed manually or with instruments (see manual therapy above), however to decompress the fascia, cups are used to create a gentle vacuum effect, then either left in a static position (usually during a guided stretch or movement) or moved along the tissues to achieve a therapeutic myofascial decompression and physiological reset.
Physical Therapists are highly trained in movement assessment. I have done additional training in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). The SFMA system provides a systematic approach of identifying impairments in motion and guidance for correcting impairments.
Individualized Exercise Prescription
Complete Decongestive Therapy of Upper Extremity
For lymphedema and or post-surgical/traumatic edema including manual lymphatic drainage and if needed, compression wrapping. I have been trained in examination/treatment of upper extremity lymphedema, however my knowledge and skills translate well to addressing lower extremity edema as well.
Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation
Weakness or trauma in the pelvic floor can lead to incontinence. Hypertonicity can lead to pain. Both can lead to poor quality of life. Rest assured, the pelvic floor is composed of muscles and connective tissue and can be successfully treated via skilled physical therapy.
Treatments for cancer often leave one intensely fatigued, weak, with decreased range of motion and poor mobility and endurance. A skilled physical therapist can guide you safely into regaining your strength, mobility, and endurance safely.
Post Mastectomy/Reconstruction Care
A mastectomy and reconstruction can be very traumatic, affecting muscular and connective tissues. A skilled physical therapist working in conjunction with your surgical team can maximize range of motion and strength while minimizing pain and risk of side affects.
